Actor Jimmy Stewart’s Ho O’Mau Kailua-Kona, Hawaii Ranch

Actor Jimmy Stewart formerly owned the Ho O’mau 1,570 acre Ranch

in Kona, Hawaii. Guy Cobb was the highest bidder at the absolute

auction for $7.4M. The seller was Dr. Thomas Atwood. Jimmy Stewart

had honey mooned in Hawaii and later purchased the ranch where he

spent much of his time while in Hawaii. The ranch includes Macadamia

Orchards and such rare trees as Ohia, Sandalwood, Koa, ancient

Japanese Sugi Pines and 100-foot Loulu Palms.

What are the odds that I’d be riding a Harley Davidson and Lincoln Town Car for 11 days in the main island of Hawaii before Christmas when the world plays my favorite movie, Jimmy Stewart’s “It’s a Wonderful Life” while auctioning his Ho Omau Ranch in Kona ? For good measure I bought a copy of his movie with me @ the resort hotel.
